Be yourself, because no one else is better qualified
Mission Statement: Relax. You're in Good Hands.
How did you end up in this role?
I received an email one day from my University including details of an opening for a Legal Assistant at Clarity Simplicity. The name of the company intrigued me, as it wasn’t like any other firm I’d come across. I researched the firm and loved the fresh take that Clarity Simplicity was taking within the Legal Industry. I applied, knowing that this role would be right up my street. And thankfully, the Directors must have thought so too as here I am now in the role of Trainee Solicitor.
What do you love most about your job?
The emphasis that the firm places on outstanding customer service allows me to take time to understand the needs of each individual client. I enjoy the working environment, as everyone is so friendly. Each day brings with it new challenges, and I constantly feel like I’m gaining knowledge of the profession across so many different areas of law.
How do you do what you do?
Time management is key. I’m a stationary addict, and will always be armed with a to-list to keep myself on track! I come from a background of working in fast-paced customer service focused job roles, and definitely feel I am able to transfer the people skills I have developed into my present role.
I was born in Dumfries and Galloway, and grew up in a small town called Sanquhar.
I moved to Glasgow in 2014 to study Law at The University of Strathclyde.
I went on to study my Post-graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the same University in 2018, and started working for Clarity Simplicity part time in my final semester. I now feel very at home in the City and settled in to my full-time Traineeship.
I have a keen interest in singing and songwriting, and am presently a member of Glasgow’s award-winning A Cappella Group, Choral Stimulation.
