Susan Grierson-Rattray

Susan joined us in October 2020 and is one of our Senior Solicitors. She qualified in the year 2000 and came to us with vast experience across various practice areas. Susan spent the first part of her career working in Fife before relocating to Glasgow in 2013.  Her main focus for the majority of her career has been family law.  As well as acting on behalf of clients, Susan has been appointed by the court to prepare reports in court cases involving children (such as adoptions and disputes between family members about matters such as with whom children should reside and who should have contact with them).  

Kara MacGregor-Duke

Kara has gained extensive experience in Family Law during her career and joined our firm in May 2022 as an Associate Solicitor. Before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2017 she was a Family Law Paralegal for over 10 years. Kara trained at one of the top Legal 500 Firms in Scotland, and as a result of her experience in family law, was awarded a reduction in the length of her traineeship by the Law Society of Scotland. This is something which is rarely offered by the Law Society, and to be applicable a candidate must be able to show their significant experience.

Molly joined the firm in August 2022, following a traineeship focussed primarily on Family Law. She has experience in child contact matters and adoptions, as well as being instructed about divorces and separations. Molly has a wealth of court experience acting for clients in a myriad of highly emotive and unique circumstances. She has extensive experience with the Children’s Panel, having appeared both as a solicitor and also as a Chair Panel Member.

In both professional and personal life, Molly is strongly steered by her moral compass and has found this to be an advantage when navigating the emotional seas of family law.
